Ring doorbell installation for wired, battery and chime setups
Jack asks for the Ring model, wiring and chime details before the booking step so the installer knows whether this is a battery mount, a wired Ring Video Doorbell, a transformer/chime issue or a replacement of an existing doorbell.
- Wired Ring doorbells: transformer, chime compatibility and existing cable position checked before fitting.
- Battery Ring doorbells: mounted level on brick, timber, uPVC or rendered surfaces with the right fixings.
- Ring app setup: Wi-Fi signal, pairing, motion zones and notification checks handled on site.
- Related Ring work: link through to Ring floodlight, intercom and smart home installation where needed.
- Removal of previous doorbell
- Advice on the best location to install the doorbell after We checks surface, Wi-Fi and wiring details
- Mount video doorbell to door frame or external wall.
- Connect the device to the wireless network when Wi-Fi details and signal are ready
- If relevant, configure the device to give you real time alerts when you have visitors
- Test product and demonstrate product functionality
- Approximate installation time of 1 hour with 1 technician for battery powered and 2-3 hours for wired ones.
- Customer should have the Ring app, Wi-Fi password and good wireless strength near the install location ready
